Watch our latest short film…. and this time it’s a comedy! THE BUSINESS TRIP was our first shoot with our new Canon 7D cameras, and boy did we learn a lot about them.

Thanks to everyone involved in the film – it could not have been made without you. It was a mighty hard slog to complete in the time frame we had, but no corners were cut and we are stoked with the final result

Celestial Avenue to Screen in London!

Every year Flickerfest curates a programme of Australian short films from the festival to screen with an Australian feature film at the London Australia Film Festival. This year CELESTIAL AVENUE will screen alongside Accidents Happen.

Accidents Happen is an upcoming British-Australian coming of age black comedy film directed by Andrew Lancaster and starring Geena Davis, Harrison Gilbertson, Sebastian Gregory, Harry Cook and Joel Tobeck. Written by Brian Carbee, based on his own childhood and adolescence, the story revolves around an accident-prone teenage boy and his family. The film was shot in Sydney, New South Wales over June–July 2008.

Flickerfest’s Australian Competition was awarded by a jury of local highly respected and experienced film industry celebrities – including actor Dan Wyllie, director Darlene Johnson, producer Nicole O’Donohue and Rachel Okine, productions and acquisitions Executive at Hopscotch Films. Thanks to everyone involved in the making of the film for contributing to this success!!

The Slamdance Film Festival programming committee has invited CELESTIAL AVENUE to the 2010 Festival, which will take place in Park City, Utah January 21-28, 2010. Slamdance is dedicated to new filmmakers. Their mission is to bring attention to the most talented emerging filmmakers, showcasing their work in the media frenzy of festival week in Park City, Utah. Cameron and Colin will be in attendance – if you happen to be in Park City on the week of the festival why not say hi!

THE BUSINESS TRIP – Edit Finished, Let the Sound Design Begin!

With not a moment to spare and what we believe is the best version of the film, THE BUSINESS TRIP has finished editing. A Herculean effort on the part of Adrian Burke and Scott to nail it in the time we’ve had. Now the pressure is on Stuart to pull together the sound design.
