Written by Colin and Cameron Cairnes and nominated for an AWGIE for best unproduced screenplay Celestial Avenue is a quirky romantic comedy and an ode to Melbourne’s China Town.
In July this year we decided to try and help the guys realise their film and teamed up with them to apply for funding from Screen Australia. The great news is we were successful!
So we embark on another short film project, our highest budgeted project so far and look forward to shooting on either RED or the Arri D21 cameras in glorious HD. A bit of a departure for us in that we are taking on purely producer roles for the film which will be directed and edited by the brothers. It’s a great opportunity to focus on producing and helping our good friends realise their vision. Of course we are working again with Mr John Brawley behind the camera. Actors Jason Gann and Catherine Moore have been cast in the lead roles.
